The "I-CAN" branch within Neuroscience Undergraduate Program at The Ohio State University visited Northmont High School on Thursday, October 10th. Started within the past few years, I-CAN focuses on neuroscience outreach in the form of educational trips to schools around the country. The program inspires students to reach their educational and professional goals within STEM fields. The interactive experience allows students to examine donated human brains and spinal cords from the OSU anatomy department. Research posters, vision skewing goggles, and a neuroscience Jeopardy game are also set up in rotating stations to cover topics ranging from central nervous system anatomy and brain plasticity to history and current research in the field.
