Qualifications:
Must possess license with ESEA qualified status or be willing to obtain status
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
Previous experience working with students with a wide range of needs preferred
Must be willing to assist students with hygiene and toileting needs
Willingness to be trained to assist with delegated medical tasks (ex. tube feeding)
Experience with reading, implementing, and charting student educational plans helpful
CPR certification preferred

PRESCHOOL INTERVENTION SPECIALIST

Minimum Qualifications:
Valid state department of education license/certificate appropriate for the position. 

Meets all mandated health requirements.

Practical understanding of early childhood education.        

Keeps current with technology and educational advancements that enhance productivity.

Ability to:
Maintain professionalism and contribute to a positive work/learning environment

Effectively use active listening, observation, reading, verbal, nonverbal, and writing skills.       

Anticipate time constraints and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.

Skillfully manage individual, group, and organizational interactions.

Use tact and exercise self-control when dealing with other individuals.                                                     

Meet physical demands for the preschool learning environment.

Essential Functions Include:
Organize and develop appropriate subject content and learning goals.

Assess the academic needs of students and vary instruction to address diverse student learning styles and skills. 

Collaborate with staff to share knowledge and resources that enhance student learning.      

Facilitate parental involvement and consults with parents as needed (e.g., phone calls, notes, e-mail, meetings, etc.).                                                                                                                                  
Prepare and implement individualized education plans (IEP).                                                             
Work with staff to help ensure that services are provided in the least restrictive educational environment. 

Collect student data to assist with the evaluation team report (ETR).                                                     

Coordinate and facilitate classroom Paraprofessional duties.

 

Custodian - 2nd Shift - Northmont High School

260 annual work days (includes holidays)

8 hours per day (inclusive 30 minute lunch)

Must pass a Fit for Duty Exam
