2020-21 Calendar Adjustments

Abbreviated Calendar 2020-21

Calendar Change:

During the June 29, 2020 Northmont Board of Education meeting, the board approved a revised 2020-2021 school year calendar. The first student day has been moved from August 13, 2020 to Tuesday, August 18, 2020. There are several reasons for this change. The first is to provide time to prepare staff for any new safety procedures that need to be in place. The second is to provide professional development to teachers to ensure they and the students are prepared for remote learning if that has to happen again because of a flare-up of the virus. There is also going to be time for professional development around students’ social/emotional needs and how staff can help address these and help students transition back to the classroom.
